Irini Ioannidou extends contract in Essen
29-year-old stays with SGS another year.
Irini Ioannidou extends her expiring contract with SGS Essen for another year until 2021. The defender is an important identification figure and leader in the rejuvenated squad for the coming season. It will be her 11th playtime with the team of SGS. In 2010, she moved from the former FCR Duisburg to the Ardelhütte and has played 164 matches for Essen.
Commenting on her signature, Irini said: ´I think my experience could become important for the next season. For me, it is also about playing a full season again. I´m looking foward to the task.´
