Volkmer to strengthen Austria Wien
Contract until 2023.
Verena Volkmer, the 26-year-old centre player from Carl Zeiss Jena has joined the traditional Austrian club, Austria Wien. The native of Northern Germany signed a 1-year contract in the Austrian capital.
Volkmer: „It has been clear to me for some time that I would like to use my active career to gain new impressions outside Germany. The combination of this traditional club and the city is close to what I wanted. I’m looking forward to the season in the ÖFB Frauenbundesliga.“
